HEY GUYS! WOW MISS YOU ALL ! AM PROCRASTINATING ! ANAYWAY.. FOR EVERYONE WHO THOUGHT ADELAIDE WAS CRAP.. YOU WERE WRONG AND RIGHT!
ahahha well the cons of adelaide are.. :
- adelaide is ONE suburb! unlike the cooler cities like sydney and melbourne, it is ACTUALLY ONE suburb!
- everything CLOSES at 5PM! LIKE WTF?! ahaha ok well some places open a tad later but not many stores do. but what sucks is that places like WOOLIES?! and MYER?! close at FIVE O CLOCK!?
- shopping night is on FRIDAY?! wtf?! WTF?! but its not that bad i guess!
- you can see hills from the city
- after about a 10mins drive, youre in a country like landscape
- the weather is COLD HOT COLD HOT HOT COLD
- THEY DONT USE TRAINS!? :'( i miss the security and comfort of trains!
- the bus prices vary
- taxi drivers make up prices
- i live on the "dangerous" street which is basically kings cross condensed into one street.
- i get scared il get stabbed or shot
- its not home
the PROS of adelaide:
- everyone is friendly
- they have better looking people i must admit
- some club entry fees are cheap. it basically varies from $5-$20 i think
- a lot of people are from interstate anyway so we're all in the same boat
- everything is basically located in the suburb anyway so i dont have to travel very far to get what i want
- keen to try "adelaides famous meal" which is called the AB - after birth/abortion meal which actually sounds really tasty. am very keen.
- met heaps of exchange students in my building and think they are soo sooo cute. there are the: swedish, germans, canadians, spanish, french and italian.
- been out EVERYDAY. LIKE NO JOKE.
- uni is close by and its next to state library, museum, art gallery (places i want to go on dates haha lol )
- dentistry people are awesome! and now we've infiltrated the med people
- me and las have pretended we're med kids and actually fooled them for like a week. i dont know if its all med kids in general but they couldnt even realise the truth even when lasni accidently shoved her id with DENTAL STUDENT on it in a med kid's face.
- we also know the med rules (cant say 'p', number '4', or use ur index finger) + secret society doings
- we made up a secret code to rate guys basically
- the buildings are beautiful - theyre old and CLEAN (unlike usyd) basically me and las have been running around meeting new people and having a lot of fun.
our timetable isnt too bad - about 28hrs. but we do have a lot of like blah time . like we have clinic sessions every week for 3 hours (i get to pretend to be a real dentist) and i think we have like 2 lab sessions for 3 hours each, each week! =] plus work load isnt heavy at all yet and its actually a lot more interesting to learn than i first expected ! mmmmm there are specific events id like to bring up but maybe in a less public arena.
cant wait to see you all on the 11th of april! =]
<3<3<3 glad to hear uni/bfs/friends/sydney are all treating youse right :) <3 jendo!
